2009-2012 Disability Action Plan

Diversity @ DBI has now launched the 2009-2012 Disability Action Plan. The plan establishes a set of principles which guide our work with people with disability.

Fair Payments for Small Business

The Victorian Government's 2002 Small Business election policy contained a commitment to introduce a fair payments clause into Government contracts to improve cash flow certainty for Victorian small and medium sized businesses.

Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information Act 1982 gives you the right to access documents about your personal affairs and the activities of government agencies, and to request that incorrect or misleading information held by an agency about you be amended or removed. Information Privacy and Health Records

DBI has developed Information and Health Records Privacy policies and procedures to help ensure your privacy is respected.

Environmental management

Like business organisations in the private sector, DBI recognises that a truly successful outfit must cohesively manage and integrate its environmental obligations, as well its financial and social undertakings.

Whistleblowers Protection Act 2001

The Whistleblowers Protection Act 2001 (WPA) encourages and facilitates disclosures of improper conduct.

Access to Victorian Public Sector Information

The Economic Development and Infrastructure Committee’s Inquiry into Improving Access to Victorian Public Sector Information and Data highlights many of the critical issues for government relating to the use and distribution of Public Sector Information (PSI).

Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006

The Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006 requires DBI to act compatibly with human rights and to take human rights into consideration when formulating and implementing policy.
