2009-2012 Disability Action Plan

Diversity@DBI has now launched the 2009-2012 Disability Action Plan. The plan establishes a set of principles which guide our work with people with disability. These four principles are:

  • DBI is accessible to all our customers, stakeholders and employees with a disability.
  • DBI recognises the significant value of employing and retaining people with disability.
  • DBI recognises, includes and promotes the participation of people with disability in our programs and in our community.
  • All employees at DBI have shared accountability for the reduction of issues and barriers to people with disability

    The commitment of DBI will ensure that the department appropriately addresses issues related to the full participation of people with a disability, both in the DBI workforce and in the communities in which DBI operates
