Environmental Management
The Department of Business and Innovation (DBI) is working to minimise its environmental impacts and foster environmentally positive practices.
The department has developed an Environment Management System (EMS) manual to address the negative environmental impacts associated with energy, waste, paper, transport and water at our head office at 121 Exhibition Street. Strategies for EMS development in regional offices are being investigated for implementation in 2005-06.
Environmental Policy
The department's environmental commitment is defined in its environmental policy and we are continuing to build on our successes in environmental performance. The environmental policy is approved by high-level departmental committees and reviewed annually.
