Annual Procurement Plan
The Department of Business and Innovation (DBI) is Victoria’s lead economic, business and innovation agency. The State’s ability to participate effectively in the global economy depends significantly on the skills, knowledge and innovation of Victorians, and our efficiency and effectiveness in supporting a competitive business environment.
The key challenge for DBI is to continue to develop and promote policies and actions that increase productivity and participation in a manner which supports sustainable growth.
The Department of Business and Innovation Annual Procurement Plan
- provides information about intended upcoming procurements that will be either sourced from eQuotation or publicly tendered where the value exceeds $100,000.
- has been developed to enable suppliers to be informed and better positioned to respond to DBI’s future procurement needs.
- is subject to periodic review and may be adjusted to reflect changing strategic circumstances, new technologies, operational needs or changed financial priorities. In these circumstances, projects may be accelerated, deferred, cancelled or varied as circumstances change. The information in the plan is based on the best information available at the time of publication.
The Department of Business Innovation procurement policies and procedures are set by the Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGPB). The VGPB policies set the minimum standards for procurement of non-construction goods and services in Victorian Government departments and some agencies. The policy framework achieves value for money in Victorian Government procurement, while maintaining the highest standards of probity, minimising risk and maximising opportunities for local businesses.
