Louise Asher is the Minister for Innovation, Services and Small Business, and Minister for Tourism and Major Events.
Ms Asher is the Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party, a position she has held since 2006. She also held the position of Deputy from 1999-2002.
She was Victoria’s Minister for Small Business and Minister for Tourism from 1996 to 1999 and while in Opposition held responsibility for a number of portfolios including Shadow Treasurer, Shadow Minister for Finance, Shadow Minister for Urban Water and Shadow Minister for Major Projects. She was first elected to the Victorian Parliament in 1992.
Ms Asher holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Masters of Arts from the University of Melbourne and a Diploma of Education and Bachelor of Economics from Monash University.
Ms Asher is the Member for Brighton.
